How do I enter?

There is only one way to enter the Colorado Galaxy Pageant:

At-Large Entry.
Since there is currently no preliminary pageants, you may enter the state pageant directly.  This is called "At-Large Entry".

When do I enter?

Deadlines.  All deadlines are strictly enforced.

November 14th, 2008.  All required paperwork must be received.  Photo for the Official Program Book must be received. Delegates may use a different photo for the program book than their photogenic photo.  Delegates may bring their photogenic photo with them to the pageant.  Program Book ads must be received (optional).

Late Penalty.  Entrant understands and agrees to the following penalty for late submission of required items, including paperwork, photography and full payment of fees by posted deadlines:  A total of 1 point per day per late item is deducted from delegate’s total score.

What will I be scored in ?

Mrs., Ms., Miss and Teen are five equal categories: 20% Personal Interview, 20% Photogenic (we want you to LOOK like your picture, if you do not, you will be scored down), 20% Swimwear, 20% Fashion Wear and 20% Evening Gown.  Click here for more information.

Jr. Miss/Jr. Teen/ Pre-Teen are scored in four equal categories: 25% Personal Interview, 25% Photogenic (we want you to LOOK like your picture, if you do not, you will be scored down), 25% Fashionwear and 25% Party Wear. Click here for more information

Is there an entry fee?

We regret that we must charge an entry fee.   The Colorado Galaxy Pageant® is self-supporting and relies solely upon entry fees to cover production expenses. This year's pageant entrance fee is a total of $675.00. There is a discount for returning delegates and Runner Ups. Jr. Miss/Jr. Teen/ Pre-Teen  are a total of $400.00.

What does the fee include?

Entry fee includes:

  • Eligibility for all prizes & awards

  • Official documents

  • Cover letter & Press Release

  • Some meals

  • Pageant Program Book

  • Gifts from sponsors

Entry fee does not include:

  • Travel expenses

  • Lodging

  • Competition wardrobe

  • Production wardrobe

  • Program ads (optional)

  • Personal expenses

What does the remainder of my entry fee pay for?

The cost to produce the Colorado Galaxy Pageant® is well over $10,000 U.S.  The remainder of your entry fee pays for prizes, lodging for the Colorado Queens, judges and production staff, advertising in international pageant publications, theater and hotel rentals, printing, entertainment, choreography, production staff, consultants, sound and lighting, stage decorations, and many additional operational expenses.

May I seek a sponsor?

You may seek sponsors or you may pay the entry fee yourself.  All sponsors are recognized in the Colorado Galaxy Pageant® program book at no charge.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Payment may be made by personal check, money order, or credit card via PayPal (add 3.5% for paypal feel)  online to director@coloradogalaxypageants.com  Checks & Money Orders should be made payable to:

   Calderin Productions, LLC
    6050 Stetson Hills Blvd
    Colorado Springs, CO 80922

Is a payment plan available?

Yes.  Delegates may pay the fee in full or may select a payment plan.  A $75 deposit is required to initiate a payment plan. Payments of any amount must be made at least every 30 days until the total fee is received.  Failure to remit payment every 30 days may result in loss of title and fees paid.

If I am unable to compete, will I be issued a refund or a credit?

No.  Due to extremely high production costs, we are not able to return any payments.  Please make sure you are able to participate in the state pageant before sending any funds.

All fees paid to Calderin Productions, LLC are NOT REFUNDABLE and NOT TRANSFERABLE in full or in part for under any circumstances. This includes entry fees, advertising fees, pageant admission tickets and any other fees paid to Calderin Productions, LLC.

Am I required to sell ads for the program book?

No.  Program book ad sales are completely optional. Many delegates do sell at least one page of ads as the program book is a keepsake.  But ad sales are not required and have no bearing on the outcome of the pageant. To advertise in the program book, click here to get the Advertisement Form.

What kind of prizes can I win?

We are adding to our prize list almost daily.  At a minimum state representatives entrance fee is paid for (which in itself is a $1,050.00 prize) to the International pageant along with several other prizes.

Do all delegates receive a crown & sash?

YES!  This is something new that we have added this year, each delegate will receive a sash.  Entry fee MUST be paid in full in order to receive a sash.

When are the pageants for Jr. Miss/Jr. Teen/ Pre-Teen?

Although they are a part of the same system, we like to keep the smaller divisions separate than the older division. For this reason, the Pre-Teen and Jr. Miss pageants will be held in a separate production, however they will be at the same location and on the same weekend. The paperwork is different for these two divisions and are located at the bottom of the older division's paperwork.

How will I receive my Final Delegate Packet?

We work all through e-mail. Once you download your paperwork, you will receive a Final Delegate Packet from us on the date indicated in    your paperwork via e-mail. If there are additional updates, please check the scrolling bar in the upper left hand corner of all of the sites, we will display the most recent update or change there as e-mail can often times be unreliable. It is the delegate's and their parent's responsibility to check the website once a week for updates or changes.

More questions?

If you have a question that is not addressed on this page, please feel free to contact the State Director, Elba Calderin at director@coloradogalaxypageants.com
